Soya Latte Steamed Rose Buns

No one can resist freshly steamed fluffy buns, let alone when these buns come in the shape of lovely roses! These appealing soya latte steamed buns are a fun way to brighten your breakfast table or tea time.

 

Preparation Time: 90 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Yield: 20 buns

Ingredients:

Soya Petals Dough
• 240g all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
• 50g Biogreen O’Soy Plus Organic Soya Milk Powder (Cane Sugar Free) (mixed with 150ml warm water)
• 2 tablespoons Biogreen O’Blue Organic Agave Nectar

Coffee Petals Dough
• 240g all-purpose flour

• 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
• 60g Biogreen Dream Coffee Oatmilk (mixed with 150ml warm water)
• 2 tablespoons Biogreen O’Blue Organic Agave Nectar

Preparation Method:
1. Mix agave nectar with dry yeast and set aside for 5 minutes.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, soya milk powder and yeast mixture to the bowl and knead into dough. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 60-90 minutes until double in size.
3. In a separate bowl, repeat steps 1 and 2 for the coffee petal dough.
4. Divide the soya and coffee doughs into 15g portions.
5. To shape into rose: Take 3 soya and 3 coffee dough portions and roll each into a thin and flat circle. Arrange them side-by-side, half stacking on top of one another, then roll into a log and cut into two to form two roses. Place the rose buns in a cupcake liner. Repeat.
6. Place buns in steamer basket, let rest for 15 minutes before steaming under high heat for 15-20 minutes. Serve hot.
