Yield: 8-10 pieces
- 2 ½ cups Etblisse Organic Unbleached Wheat Flour
- ½ cup Etblisse Toasted Wheat Germ Flakes
- 1 teaspoon Biogreen 84 Live Fine Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup warm water
- In a large bowl combine the flour, wheat germ flakes, baking powder and sea salt, and mix well.
- Make a well in the centre of dry ingredients and pour in water and oil.
- Stir well until the dough had come together and begin to form a shaggy ball.
- Turn the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until the dough is nice and smooth.
- Divide the dough into 10-15 equal potions, and flatten with the palm of your hands.
- Cover the flatten doughs with a wet towel and let them rest for 1 hour at room temperature.
- Once rested, roll each dough until they have stretched out to make large thin circle.
- Heat a skillet pan at medium heat for at least 5 minutes before adding your fist tortilla.
- Cook tortilla for 1-2 minutes for each side until the surface had bubbled and turned brown.
- Stack each cooked tortilla together and cover with a dry towel to prevent them getting hard and crisp.
- Enjoy these right away or store extra wrap in the freezer up to 1 month in a zip lock bag.
